A few notes before you wander.
These terms describe use of Spelling Spells, an independent reference archive. Browse published entries without an account, or sign in to save favorites and send private contributions for review.
Reference content
The collection is for learning and entertainment. Fictional effects belong to their stated stories and continuities. Folklore entries, when available, describe cultural beliefs rather than proven supernatural effects. Danger, utility and skill labels are editorial reading guides, not scientific measurements, official statistics or real-world instructions.
Accuracy and sources
Entries link to references where possible. Pronunciation, translation, and interpretation may vary across editions and adaptations. We aim to be clear about the basis of each note; linked creators and original works provide further context.
Creators and ownership
Spell names, fictional languages, world names and source works remain associated with their respective rights holders. Spelling Spells is not endorsed by those creators. Original writing, credited illustrations and licensed media have distinct origins; an AI-generated illustration does not authenticate a fictional event or grant rights to another creator's work.
Contributions and review
Submit only material you may share, write your own summary and credit the source. Your submitted suggestion is private to your account and the Owner review workflow. The Owner may request changes, reject it, or prepare an approved entry for separate publication. Submission does not guarantee publication, a response or a particular review time. Device-only drafts are sent only when you choose Submit and the service confirms a save.
Personal saved data
Saving spells and opening the Saved page require sign-in. The page identifies your private account collection and confirmed or unavailable sync state. Existing device bookmarks and local preferences may be lost if device storage is cleared. Legacy bookmarks are preserved for optional explicit import and are not uploaded automatically.
Web subscriptions and billing
Available recurring plans can be purchased through Stripe Checkout on the website when billing readiness is confirmed. Pricing and Checkout show the selected offer's price and monthly or yearly renewal interval; subscriptions renew at that interval until cancelled. Paid tools require the server to confirm your account's subscription and current paid period. Use Manage Billing in Profile on the website to schedule cancellation at the end of that period. Closing Checkout, signing out or clearing app data does not cancel an existing subscription. Contact us with billing questions; never send payment-card details.
