Editorial guidelines

Good sources make better spellbooks.

Help the archive grow with clear names, original descriptions and sources readers can follow. Submitted suggestions are private until the Owner reviews them and separately publishes a catalog entry.

Keep the source close

Name the story, game, book or adaptation. Prefer an original work or an official creator/publisher reference. Include a precise HTTPS link and distinguish different editions or adaptations when their wording differs.

Write in your own words

Summarize an entry rather than copying a wiki, book passage, script or another author’s explanation. Credit references. Do not submit copyrighted artwork, audio, long quotations or material you do not have permission to share.

Separate fact from interpretation

Identify an actual named spell, a power or ability, and a spoken incantation accurately. Record the character and continuity without merging adaptations. Mark approximations as approximations, and leave unavailable pronunciation blank. Do not present a guessed translation, computer voice or fan theory as creator-confirmed information.

Fictional danger is not real-world advice

Danger and skill labels describe fictional narrative effects. They are not instructions, health advice or proof of supernatural effects. Do not include actionable harm, dangerous rituals or medical claims.

Respect people and cultures

Keep personal information, harassment, impersonation and spam out of suggestions. Identify folklore as a cultural tradition, with appropriate sources and context, rather than assigning it to a fictional franchise or asserting supernatural effects. Respect living communities and distinguish historical belief from a modern adaptation.

Review before publication

The Owner checks source support, spelling, originality, context and duplicates. Unverified entries remain drafts. A reviewer may approve, reject or request changes; an approved submission still needs a separate catalog publication action. You can read your own submitted records and reviewer notes, but a device-only draft has not been received by the review service.
